Your role

We’re looking for an inspiring, forward-thinking, and committed Senior Scrum Master / T-Shaped Software Engineer with a focus on Requirements Engineering. This unique role merges the empowering collaborative and leadership skills of a Scrum Master with the wide-ranging technical capabilities of a Requirements Engineer. You will be working in a dynamic, client-facing environment where your contributions will play a pivotal role in reshaping industry standards.

Your role:

• train and guide the team to complete high-quality increments that meet a definition of done while removing impediments so that the team can deliver more effectively over time
• motivate the team on an agile mindset and embed Agile@UBS practices in your team such as daily standups, sprint planning, review sessions, backlog grooming/refinement, retrospectives and reporting (e.g. sprint burndowns, burnups)
• assist in the continuous transformation towards a completely Agile ecosystem, fostering growth, collaboration and efficiency
• act as a servant leader fostering self-organization, promote continuous improvement as a core value, inspiring the team to strive for excellence
• cultivate a culture of transparency and creativity, where each team member feels valued and heard
• mediate conflicts within the team and encourage positive dialogue
• build and maintain effective collaboration between Product owner & Engineers within a team
• support the Product owner on structuring and writing effective user stories and the capture of upfront acceptance tests
• ensure efficient and smooth release administration, promoting quality and reliability in team
• support the team to identify technical debt, record & remediate it

Your team

You will be working in the Asset Based Reporting team located in Zurich and Manila. We are a very dynamic and multi-cultural team that value unity and support. Our software product is a key-contact-point for clients and is producing sophisticated asset statements (including regulatory documents) to Client Advisors, personal clients, corporates, FIM in Switzerland, EMEA and Asia.

Your expertise

• university degree or an equivalent in finance/economics or computer sciences
• solid understanding of banking products and processes
• profound knowledge of the Scrum ceremonies and experience in tools such as GitLab, Jira, Confluence
• hands-on Requirements Engineering experience in an Agile environment; testing fundamentals knowledge considered a plus
• superior leadership and team-building skills
• excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical/development teams and business stakeholders
• experience in conflict and stakeholder management
• fluency in English; proficiency in German is considered a plus
