Bachelorand/Masterand/Diplomand (m/w/d) High Voltage Power Electronics / Hochvolt - Leistungselektronik
- Kennziffer: J000009327
- Einstiegsart: Abschlussarbeit
- Einsatzort: Weissach
- Gesellschaft: PAG - Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG (Porsche AG)
Aufgaben Aufgaben
Power electronics are a key element of modern traction drives. To achieve maximum performance of the electric powertrain it is necessary to have an understanding of the traction inverter itself and its interaction with the other components, namely electric machine and high voltage battery. Therefore, the aim of the thesis is to extend the existing knowledge at Porsche Motorsport and to investigate possible future power electronic concepts. Hence, the topic of the thesis can be centered around one or multiple of the following topics:
- Electromagnetic Simulation of Power Electronic Components
- Investigation of traction inverter topologies via Matlab/Simulink
- Investigation of modulation methods via Matlab/Simulink
- Thermal Modelling of Power Electronic Components
When applying please name the preferred kind of topic. The application and thesis can be written in either English or German.
Anforderungen Anforderungen
- Study of engineering (e.g. electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar) with a focus on power electronics or electric powertrains
- Practical or theoretical experience in power electronics or electric powertrains
- Preferably prior experience in Matlab/Simulink - in dependence of topic experience with electromagnetic field simulation is helpful
- Fluent in English and/or German (application can be written in either English or German)
- Analytical thinking, structured and independent way of working

"In the beginning, I looked around and could not find quite the car I dreamed of. So I decided to build it myself.”
This quote from Ferdinand Porsche sums up what Porsche is as a brand, as a company, as a car manufacturer and as an employer. The "Porsche idea” has produced unique sports cars, such as the Porsche 356 and the 911. With the combination of tradition, innovation and our employees` Porsche typical – sometimes unconventional – ways of thinking, we make automobile dreams come true and always have that "little bit more” in our sights. But Porsche is more than "just” an exclusive sports car producer. Because Porsche has a lot to offer as an employer as well: numerous entry and career opportunities, measures for combining work and family, and flexible working hours.
