The Power BI Expert - Dashboard Specialist is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining interactive and visually compelling dashboards using Power BI. You collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and transform data into actionable insights that drive decision-making. Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards that interface with many different data sources, building and integrated solutions that provide comprehensive information on project data.
Your main tasks are:

• Dashboard Development: Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, incorporating data from various sources such as databases, APIs, and Excel files;
• Data Modeling: Perform data modeling and data transformations to ensure optimal performance and usability of dashboards. Cleanse, reshape, and integrate data from multiple sources to create unified datasets;
• Visualization Design: Create visually appealing and intuitive dashboards in Power BI that effectively communicate key metrics, trends, and insights. Select appropriate visualizations (e.g., charts, graphs, maps) to represent data in a meaningful way;
• Dashboard Optimization: Optimize dashboard performance and usability by implementing best practices for data visualization, layout design, and interactivity. Ensure that dashboards load quickly and provide a seamless user experience.
• Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of business data to identify trends, patterns, and outliers. Interpret analysis results and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders;
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and requirements. Gather feedback and iterate on dashboard designs to meet stakeholder expectations;
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end users on how to navigate and interact with dashboards effectively. Address user questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance on dashboard usage;
• Documentation: Document dashboard requirements, design decisions, and data sources for future reference. Maintain documentation to ensure consistency and transparency in dashboard developments.

The Power BI Expert reports to Lead PMO - Information Management.

Your profile and background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field;• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with focus on dashboard development;• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric offering portfolio and Relatics integrations is preferred;• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques;• Proficiency in data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles;• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights;• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;• Certification in Power BI or related areas is desirable;• Fluent in English and Dutch language is a preference.

This will be our challenge

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

Additional information

• The weekly working time is 40 hours;
• 43 holidays per annual on a full time basis;
• Job grade 9 (Euro 4369 - Euro 8594 gross a month on a full time basis) according TenneT TSO CAO;
• Indefinite contract with 2 months probation;
